About
Sophia Weston is a London-based photographer specialising in interiors, architecture and design.
Her interest in design began with a fascination for architecture, objects and the relationship between the two. A particular early influence was the Tate Modern, where she developed an interest in the structure, materiality and visual language of designed spaces.
Originally drawn to fashion photography, Sophia found a natural meeting point between photography and her interest in architecture through interiors. She spent several years working in the locations industry before moving behind the camera, developing a strong understanding of spaces, architecture and the practical demands of photographing them.
Sophia works primarily with natural light, using it to emphasise material, texture, proportion and atmosphere. She is particularly drawn to considered, design-led spaces and the people who create them, from interior designers and architects to furniture makers and brands.
Based in London, Sophia works across the UK and is available to travel.
